UMF®15+ Active Manuka Honey |
Our most popular product is our UMF-rated Active Manuka Honey in a 500g jar, imported from New Zealand. It is a pure and natural product, but has exceptional qualities with a superior antibacterial strength of 15, one of the higher strengths available. Each drum of the honey is lab tested by the Honey Research Unit of the University of Waikato who verify its antibacterial strength. With an independently tested strength of UMF 15, our honey is highly valued and sought after. Beware of manuka honey that does not carry the UMF certified status. If it doesn't say UMF, then you could be wasting your money.
ManukaHoney.co.uk were the first to bring Active Manuka Honey to the UK and have strived to provide balanced and clear information for people. We have sought to bring clarity to consumers and enable them to distinguish between non-UMF rated honey and honey with a rating of UMF 10 or more. While non-rated manuka honey is delicious, only honey with a genuine UMF rating of 10 or more is considered to be therapeutically useful.
Our honey is a premium quality natural product, with a superior smooth texture and one of the highest UMF strength honeys on the market. We have pleasure in offering our superior and genuine-UMF 15 honey to you at a price you will not come close to elsewhere.

UMF®16+ Active Manuka Honey Capsules (300 x 500mg capsule jar)
Not everyone is a honey lover, but that does not mean you need to be excluded from the benefits that Active Manuka Honey offers.
Our capsules contain freeze dried superior grade UMF 16 Active Manuka Honey - exactly the same as the honey we sell in jars. Each capsule contains 200mg of Active Manuka Honey powder - equivalent to 400mg of liquid honey. This is a 30% increase in the amount of honey contained in each capsule compared to our previous capsules. Each tub contains 300 capsules.
Accelerated freeze drying ( lyophilisation ) is the process used to make the dry form honey - it is the same process as used for high value pharmaceuticals as it is the gentlest drying method for biological materials. It operates at very high vacuum ( very low pressure < 1mbar which is 1000th of atmospheric) on the principle of operating below the eutectic point of water.
The low pressure changes the physical properties of water, at that pressure water can only exist as a solid ( ice ) or a gas ( water vapour ). Gentle heat is applied (about 35 deg C) and the product cannot melt, but remains in frozen form as the water content is removed as vapour. Consequently the cell structures - intracellular components and cell walls, are not damaged.
Recommended dosage : up to 3 capsules may be taken up to three times a day.

Capsules - A convenient way to benefit from UMF 16 Manuka Honey - Ideal for non honey lovers! New improved more concentrated formula.

Unrated Manuka Honey
(Manuka honey with strength of less than 10)
If you have never tried Manuka Honey before then why not try our unrated Manuka Honey. This is a great introduction to one of the most distinctive and prized honeys in the world.
Manuka Honey is a specialist honey that has a distinctive thick, caramel like texture. It has a full flavour making it a fantastic ingredient in cooking as a glaze on meat dishes, in fruit and icecream smoothies and in other fine cuisine creations. It can also be used as a special treat on toastor even as a natural and distinctive sweetener in a hot beverage. It is also the perfect ingredient in a winter warming hot lemon and honey drink - perfect for soothing a sore throat or as a winter comfort drink.
Our unrated Manuka Honey has not been tested and verified for its antibacterial strength. Sourced from the pollution-free uncultivated New Zealand wilderness, the honey is packed with antioxidants and vitamins. Note that if you require Manuka Honey for more involved therapeutic applications then you should rather opt for one of our UMF-rated Manuka Honey products. It is generally recommended that manuka honey for therapeutic use should have a minimum UMF level of 10.
